Things have been really busy at home lately with the cooler weather moving in and still plenty of work being done on the house. The kitchen is now finished and there has been plenty of baking lately and Alex and Sam always perform taste test before anything goes in the oven.

It was Samantha's first birthday on Monday and with a few friends over to watch Samantha played in her birthday cake.

Alex has been running around and around for a long time now and Samantha has been joining in lately.

After Alex's balloon floated away in the sky, Mum found plenty more and Alex and Sam had a great time playing with them all.

Alex and Sam are always having fun playing together these days. They are in the blue thing as we call it with ballons and balls. Balls being a favorite toy of both! It was Sunday so they are gearing up for Mom's team dressed in Redskin colors. It use to be good luck for the team, but these days nothing gives them good luck.

Alex is making brownies for Dad as Sam watches.

Alex can never make brownies without sampling them before they go in the oven. she is also generous enough to give Sam a taste.

Sam loves to eat. Everything is her favorite food and here she is enjoying some cheese.

Alex and Sam are having fun on the PowerBar boxes sharing an ice block.

Ever since we lost the ballon in the Braintree Mall parking lot we can never have enough. Alex is showing off all her ballons.

Sam is ready for Halloween dressed in her cat costume. She did not take too well to the hat over the head with the cat face, but she looked very cute and brought home lots of candy in her pumpkin.

Once Alex found out Sam was going to be a cat she decided that being a dog was going to be her costume. The dog hood never made it over Alex's head. She was kind enough to carry Sam's pumpkin as well as her own. they came home with two full pumkins just going down our street so we will have candy for quite awhile.

It did not take Sam long to catch on to trick or treating. She would stick her little hands into the candy jar and take her own at every house.

Alex and Sam entertained themselves for about a half and hour pushing the chairs around the house. They were having so much fun and mom was able to cook dinner!

Alex and Samantha have to be kept busy sometimes when Mum needs to do some stuff. There is a box of Saucony clothes sitting in the corner and Alex like to hand them out one by one to Samantha.

When Mum just has Samantha to look after, the small booster chair is Sam's favorite place to hang out!

Alex woke up this am and said she had to go ride her bike! thanks to Speedy Pete she can do some indoor riding.

Sam is now taking steps. She is walking towards mum and soon mum won't have to catch her.

Sam enjoyed Dad pulling her around in the lego wagon. She did not want to get out.

Jake's parents threw a big party to say good bye to summer. They know how to throw a party as there was plenty of activities for the kids. Alex and Jake are kicking off the party chasing the bubbles.

Alex is getting ready for the hulu hoop contest as her competitors look on.

One of Alex's favorite things to do is jump! She spent half the day jumping in the jumpy house to see how high she could go.

Sam was trying to get a closer look at the goats. She had no problem pulling herself closer and got the attention of some of the kids in the background with her strength.

Alex and mum are cheking out the horses. They put a big smile on Alex's face when she got to see them up close.

Alex found one of Jake's toys she liked riding.

Alex started the weekend off baking some biscuits. Mum helped a little just with the oven and then eating them.

Carolyn bought Alex and Samantha some nice new clothes and Mum dressed them to match.

It was a quiet weekend with a lot of playing inside and now Samantha is almost walking she can push things around the room with Alex.

It was too late to cook dinner Sunday night so it was Pizza time and Alex used her knife and fork to cut up a slice.

There was only one photo taken today and that was after Alex had a hair cut. Mum had her's cut, then Alex and Samantha watched on. Alex, Mum and sam also spent about 2hrs at the swimming pool late in the afternoon and aparently Alex is swimming great and Sam likes going under.

There have been a few leaves falling from the trees lately and Alex has her own rake to help Dad pick them up.

Alex found the camera laying around this morning and took a few photo's of her own. This one of Samantha was the only one that was a full picture.

It was a nice day outside today and Alex road her bike for the first time.

Alex must have spent about 1hr riding up and down the driveway.

Alex has gotten used to the new house now and likes to jump off the stairs. She has jumped from the 4th one up but Mum now only lets her jump from the 2nd one.

On Sunday Mum took Alex and Sam to see some different kinds of cars. Alex liked this small race care. The camera battery was flat so Mum didn't get the picture with Alex sitting inside driving.

Because we live so close to the hospital Alex likes Ambulance's and she got to sit in the driver's seat of one to check it out.

After a few hours of looking at cars and trucks and things Alex and Sam where pretty tired.

Alex started the day off in the jog stroller with Dad and then joined Mum in the stroller whilst Mum ran. Alex also got a run in after watching Mum and Dad run.

Samantha always likes to grab Alex's things and "bear" is always a prize catch!

Mum said Samantha took 8 steps today and standing building tower's is also a common thing for Samatha.

Samantha crawls fast and also push's things fast. Maybe Mum is training Samantha to mow the 6hr lawn (10hr for Pop) when she gets older?

Sam also plays for a while in the rubber duck whilst Alex helps Mum fold clothes.

Alex and Sam like eating ice blocks from time to time sometimes after breakfast and sometimes for breakfast.

Alex has some good puzzles that keep her busy and she now does them better than Mum.

Besides playing and running around Alex likes to help out with everything. It was a cool morning so keeping busy working and cleaning warmed things up.

Samantha slept for a good part of the day and when she woke up Alex pulled out the old rubber duck to play in. Besides that it was all puzzles, TV and some golf on the Wii until Mum came home from work.

It was football day today and Mum had Alex and Sam dressed in Redskin clothes. Sam has been getting around quite easily the last few days, crawling and climbing.

Mum says Sam took her first step today and maybe it won't be long until she starts to walk.

Looks like Mum took a lot of photo's of Samantha today and Samantha had some good smiles going.

Alex and Sam have a big play area on the carpet and some days there are toys everywhere. Alex also likes to hug Sam like a toy!

Samantha is pretty tough and doesn't mind Alex wrestling and grabbing her.

It has been two weeks in the new house now and Alex and Sam have settled in well. Here is a photo from the old rental apartment from about a month ago. Alex was drawing with some new crayons.

There were plenty of boxes needed for the move and Alex and Sam had their own to play in.

First day at the new house and Alex and Sam tried out the new floor.

The kitchen is close to being finished and Alex sat up on top of one of the counter tops for a photo.

Sam has plenty of space to practice crawling.

Alex has been running loops around the house and does it for a good 20minutes at a time.

It has been a while since the last posting and the new house has been the reason Dad hasn't been able to update Alex's blob. There is still a few weeks until moving out of the rental aprtment and into the new place. Below is some of the latest photo's of Samantha and Alex. Samantha spends time in the bouncer but only bounces if Alex does it for her.

The last few days has seen Samantha starting to crawl. She has always been strong so she really crawls well.

Another constant feature of Samatha is that she always smiles and never crys.

Alex has been making the most of being cooped up in the small apartment by watching Sesame Street. Alex has learned the Alphabet, counting to 20 and every charactor's name on Sesame Street. Just the last couple of days Alex discovered the Wiggles and likes to dance to the fruit salad song.

Mum tried a few of the moves but Alex showed Mum how to do it properly.

Hopefully Dad will be able to get back to a blog posting everyday with news and pictures of Alex and Samantha.

Alex plays with Samantha often and likes to roll her around a bit on the floor.

Samantha has been playing on the floor, rolling around and also using the big swing. Everything seems to bring a big smile.

Samantha will be six months old soon and Mum thinks crawling is just around the corner.

Alex is looking forward to do some bike riding once the new house is ready to move into. Every day Alex trys on the helmut ready for the first ride.

Rice and beans is a favorite food for Alex these days and hot or cold Alex usually sets up a spot to sit down and eat.

Meme arrives today and Alex pulled out the pans to practice some cooking last night to be ready to help Meme cook.

It has been a while since the last blog but all is well with Alex and Samantha. There was a new home bought with a big back yard for Alex to run around in! A trip in an Ambulance after a fall down the stairs in the new home. All is good again with Alex but there are no more visits to the house until it has been fixed up and ready to live in. Samantha has gotten more active with rolling over, smiling a lot, and eating banana's and yogurt. The high chair has come back into use now for Samantha.

Looks like Alex doesn't mind sharing the good stuff with her sister!

Before dinner last night Samantha had some fun in the high chair making noises.

Alex joined in the action and sat in Samantha's small chair for a photo.

It was raining outside today which meant no rides in the double stroller so to pass some time Alex pulled out some of Mums shirts to wear around and she kept them on all day and night.

Samantha has been rolling over every chance she gets today she playing with Alex's DVD player trying to change a disc.

It was a nice warm day outside and it has been a long time coming. The Bobbins gave us a two carrier buggy and Alex wanted the front and Samantha had the back. Alex choose her clothes which included a Disney World tee shirt from Jonathan and a pair of sunnies from Meme. (not the best look but it was good for a trip to Walmart and back!)

Alex helped Mum make some more biscuits the other day and Samantha watched on in the high chair.

Alex and Samantha get to play together more now that Samantha is getting older and stronger.

Mum allows Alex to use a small stool to stand on which makes everything in reach for Alex to grab.

Alex had a gift card for Walmart given to her for her birthday and yesterday Mum went to Walmart with Alex. Another doll was the choice.

Easter Sunday Mum hid some plastic eggs with money in them all around the house and Alex found them all pretty quickly.

Carolyn bought Alex a nice shirt from New Mexico the other week and Alex felt comfortable after a bath with the loose fitting shirt.

Alex was in the mood for some cooking the other day and Fruit Loops were the main ingrediant! Samantha has begun eating some yogurt and likes to grip the spoon herself and take some extra sucks. Alex has been washing her teeth on her own for quite a while now and just recently discovered dental floss. Alex and Samantha get on quite well together these days! Jonathan came over for a visit the other night and Alex helped with making the buscuits.

Alex spent Saturday morning with Mum and then ran around for a while in the afternoon with Dad. Sunday it was another run at the high school and then into the pool for a swim with Mum after that. There was a few underwater trips and Alex didn't seem to mind. An ice cream cone was a good treat after the days activities. Samantha has had a few sniffles and a bit of a fever the last few days, pretty much the same thing that Mum had that kept her home from work Thursday. She seems a lot better now and is back to smiling again.

There is still not a lot of things for Alex to do in the small rental apartment and with the cold weather outside. Samantha is over four and a half months now and is becoming interested in a lot more things. She eats yogurt and sits in the high chair often.

Alex has plenty of blocks to build tower's and usually they don't stand for long due to either poor construction or the push from a small hand. Pop's tower from a few weeks back was the exception although it too took a tumble eventually!

Samantha has been making plenty of noise lately and also enjoys sitting up and chewing things.

Samantha is alway's smiling and may need to be nick named "Smiley".

Alex always enjoys a good bath and just recently the duck has made things more fun at bath time.

Alex and Sanantha's Gran Ma flew back to Australia today after a long 10 week visit. Sam was dressed in some Australian get up and Alex put on a good smile for the goodbyes!

Mum and Alex made some biscuits the other day and Alex thought they turned out pretty good. Sam is getting bigger everyday outgrowing the basinett. Alex is relaxing in the "big bed Pop built" Pop was in town for Alex's birthday and put Sam's crib together for her with a little help from Dad and Alex.

Alex has been doing lots of running inside. She is quick and getting good at corners with the small space of our apartment. Wait until she gets to run outside!

Samantha is sitting up well these days now that she is 4 months old. All of Alex's old clothes are coming in handy and the toys as well.

Alex has been quite busy the last few weeks. Mainly learning new things like counting to ten, learning the alphabet, head stands and the latest thing is jumping! In this rental apartment we have neighbors next to us, across from us and above and below us, I am sure they will be glad to see us go when we get our new house.

Samantha has been sleeping well and besides that she has been smiling a lot and eating a lot.

Alex likes to get close to her sister when she can and gives plenty of kisses and hugs.

Alex doesn't mind sharing her lounge chair with Samantha from time to time especially now Samantha can sit up better.

Yesterday it was a trip to Lowes hardware store to look at new furnishing for our new home and Alex had fun running around the open space and also made sure Samantha was strapped in well for the car ride there.

Once again it has been a while since the last blog. Hopefully we can get back on track with the regular posting. Alex has adapted to the rental apartment after a tough couple of weeks. She has found some good spots to run around inside and with the carpet there is no bamboo floor to damage.

Samantha is almost 3 months old now and has become a smiler. Sam smiles whenever she gets the slightest amount of attention.

It has been a cold winter so far and when Alex goes out she puts on a hat and shoes. Two things that were always tough to keep on a few months ago.

Besides saying a lot more words recently Alex does tumbles and climbs all over the place.

After a playful time in the bath every night Alex puts on a towel and runs around for 10mins in her towel.

Mum found some glasses that Carolyn gave for eye testing and Alex said she wouldn't need them even though they looked quite funny on her.

Samantha has a lot of catching up to Alex and she has started to lift her head and turn it the last few days.

Alex is a good sharer and allowed Samantha to look at a DVD on Alex's DVD player.

Alex likes to have a lot of fun and with Samantha rocking in the chair Alex wanted to join her for company.

Mum lets Alex vacuum from time to time and Alex has a blast!

There has been a lot of snow and now ice everywhere outside and besides a quick splash at the pool Alex has been home bound. Alex has had Mum reading to her a lot and Alex is speaking more words every day. Alex likes to look in the fridge now and then to see what she could find. Some strawberries and a Kit Kat were the best things!

It was all snow today outside which meant everyone stayed indoors and Samantha spent most of the day sleeping.

Alex helped Mum wash and dry cloths and then pretty much played and ran around the place. Mum got some video footage of Alex doing tumbles on the floor and in the picture below Alex tried one onto the couch.

Samantha has been smiling a lot the last few days and has become very alert of what is going on. She is now just over 9weeks old.

It has been quite a few days since the last blog. Hopefully we can get back into the routine again. Alex has been shouting out "home" in the middle of the night hoping she can go back to the place she spent her first 21months of life. There's no basement to play in, no stairs to climb and no place to run around in circles here at the rental apartment. At least there is a bath that Alex can have some fun in.

Mum bought Alex a DVD player for Christmas and that has also had a lot of use since moving here.

For the most part Alex has been very nice to Samantha but there has been a few instances when Alex has deliberately scratched and grabbed at her baby sister.

Dad found the Potty DVD the other day and Alex hadn't listened to it in a while so she spent a good hour watching it over and over.

Mum has been eating fruit loops on a regular basis and Alex wanted to cook some up in a pan.

With no basement as Alex's designated play area the toys are spread out everywhere and there are always some new ones popping up with the visit from Meme, Deb from Mums work and then Gran Ma from Australia.

Samantha spends a lot of time up on the table sitting in a recliner away from the dangers of Alex and her playing.

Alex has been jumping off things and her potty was a good safe height to try.

Samantha only drinks milk and Alex thought she might like one of her gold fish for a change.

Whilst Dad was out one evening Alex and Mum had a clean up with Alex on vacume duty.

Alex spent a good amount of time in both these swings when she was younger and she wanted to try it again to join her sister for a swing session.

Mum thinks Alex is going to become a runner and Samantha a swimmer. The bath has brought out many smiles and plenty of kicking and fun for Samantha so far.

With the Redskins well and truly out of the football games these days and the unexpected loss of the Patriots, Alex has been wearing Poppy's team Jersey during the playoffs. At least there is one person that likes that!

During half time of the football Alex played in the fridge for a while to see what she could find to spill on the Jersey.

Alex spent most of the day with Meme and Mum. Meme did some baking and Alex helped out and when Samantha was awake Alex sat and played with her.

Alex also likes to hold Samantha's bottle so she eats and then sleeps and then Alex gets everyone's full attention whilst Samantha sleeps.

Alex likes to have an ice block from time to time and with all the snow outside Alex has to find things to do indoors. Mums shoes came in handy for about half an hour of play time.

Meme arrived today and Alex pulled out some tools and showed Meme a thing or two on how to use a tape measue.

Alex also checked some screws in the door with a screwdriver.

Samantha had plenty of attention from Meme all day and Alex wanted to get close too!

Mum and Alex went downstairs for a couple of trips. One to get the mail and the other to wash some clothes seeing we don't have our own washing machine. A couple of Alex's friends came along too.

It has been quite a few days since the last posting. Internet was disconnected ready for the move and it didn't get connected to our rental place until a good 10 days later. It was a busy last week full of moving and cleaning and Alex kept busy by helping and then playing with anything and everything.

Alex even helped with some cleaning and rubbing marks off the walls was fun.

Samantha slept for most of the packing and moving and sometimes was forgotton with all the work to be done.

Some more sleeping was in store.

Alex made the most of Samantha's awake times and got close for a photo and to say hi to her baby sister.

Alex had plenty of kisses and hugs for Samantha when she could get close enough.

The new "temporary" place we are living at now has carpet throughout and Alex likes running on it, playing with Dad's shoes and Mum says Alex can drop anything she wants on the floor because it won't put a ding in it it like the bamboo floor from the last place!

The carpet is pretty good for head stands and tumbles too!

Samantha is getting big enough to try a few of Alex's old toys and the swing came out of storage and Alex gave it a try for old times sake.

Alex was awake early this morning and it was hard for Dad to leave the house for work with the clingy Alex. It meant Mum had to get up and play with Alex and also keep an eye on Samantha.

Alex and Samantha hung out together and for most of the time Alex is very friendly to Samantha but sometimes Alex gets a little mad and as Mum calls it "Alex wasn't very nice", and gets herself into trouble.

Alex has still been pulling off her cloths and finds it easier to run around like that. Alex also gave a try at a few handstands.

It has been tough to post regular blogs lately with all the packing and moving responsibilities. Samantha has been a good help by sleeping allot and Alex even lets her have Petunia to sleep with from time to time.

Mum keeps Alex involved with the packing and after a box is full Alex likes to put her thumb up. (not sure where she learnt that from!)

The DVD player has been playing non stop most days and Alex likes to copy some of the moves from sesame street. Not sure if she is driving here or doing some kind of dance routine.

The other thing Alex has been doing is taking off her shirt and pants and running around the room or just playing without them even though it is below freezing outside.

There were only a couple of photo's today and one was of Alex dancing in front of the TV. Not sure what happened to her clothes.

Mum needs a little foot stool to reach for anything high up and Alex has been watching and thought about trying it out for herself.

Alex spent the morning with Mum whilst Dad was busy with a few things and it looks like Alex worked up a sweat kicking the ball around and took her clothes off to do it. Mum was impressed with Alex's follow through on the kick!

Alex and Samantha are still getting to know each other and Alex stops by for a kiss every now and then.

A few weeks back Poppy taught Alex how to come down the stairs safely backwards. Mum has been teaching Alex to walk down and she made it the whole way unassisted tonight.

Alex spent another day indoors without any trips outside except to the mail box. It was pretty much a day of running, watching DVD's and eating. Samantha mainly sleeps but also needs changed a lot and Alex likes to help out when she can. Mum found and old tummy time mat of Alex's and had Samantha on it whilst Alex lent a hand with things.

Alex spent the morning inside playing and watching some DVD's. Breakfast was peanut butter on the spoon and some milk. Every weekend there is plenty of football on TV in the house and it looks like Poppy decided it was time Alex swapped the Redskin colours for a real team. Unfortunately he could only get Pittsburgh Steelers uniforms where he lives, Alex did look good in them though!

Mum took Alex out to the shops for a good couple of hours in the afternoon and left Dad at home with Samantha. For the most part Samantha sleeps and sleeps but she decided to stay awake for the two hours Alex and Mum were out! Later in the evening Alex took an early bath and grabbed a suit that has a zip again and played around unzipping things.

Mum bought Alex a DVD player for Christmas and the Baby Einstein DVD's play throughout the day.

Samantha is still doing her usual and sleeping soundly for most of the time. She is also eating well and growing out of the new born clothes quick.

Alex wore a full suit to bed that included covered feet and because it had a zip down the front Alex decided to take it off and run around without it for a while. It got cool and Mum set Alex up on the chair with curious george and a blanket.

Dad got a ipod for Christmas from the run crew and loaded a few songs onto it and Alex enjoyed dancing to the tunes.

With all things scattered around in the basement ready for the move Alex found some fun things to play with.

Mum made rice and beans for dinner and let Alex do some finger tasting!

With the big snowstorm Sunday night it meant everyone had to stay indoors and Alex had a good variety of toys to play with. The pink phone that Kara bought was well used!

Another fun game was playing with the plastic food and shopping basket.

Alex was allowed to put her toy foods in the fridge and along with a few other things.

Some of the plastic food is made in the shape of bread and a fried egg which looked like a good sandwich. Mum asked Alex if she wanted a real egg sandwich which she said yes too but after it was made she preferred the plastic version.

Alex has also been keeping up with her run training and ran around the room on several occasions wearing her new Stanford jumper that Carolyn bought.

It was a long Christmas day today because Alex had many presents to open but only opened one at a time, played with it and then needed Mum or Dad's encouragement to open another.

Samantha had a good day of sleeping as she is out growing all of her 0-3 months clothes!

Alex had a good variety of presents to play with and the building blocks were a hit, a couple of new dolls and some cooking utensils were also good. Alex also had some nice clothes from Meme and a Stanford jumper from Carolyn and an outfit from Michael O'Malley from swimming.

There was also a Dr's kit and Alex let Mum take some blood pressure reading's.

Alex had a visit from Carolyn Yesterday afternoon and a surprise Christmas present.

There was also a large package that arrived in the mail from Meme and Poppy in PA that had plenty of goodies in including biscuits and an angel food cake.

Mum was making some food for Christmas and Alex helped with a few spices.

As usual Samantha has been getting plenty of sleep as Alex gets to enjoy the excitement of her second Christmas.

There was only one photo from today and that was of Samantha sleeping which is a regular thing around here. There has also been some snow the last few days so Alex has stayed indoors. With the next snow coming this weekend Dad hopes to take Alex out to play in it.

It has been a couple of days since the last blog but things have been busy and one thing was the selling of our house with January 15th the last day here. The basement is now off limits to Alex because it is full of moving stuff and Alex likes to open the door anyway because she is not supposed too.

Since the arrival of Samantha Alex has taken a big interest in babies and the toy doll has become a good thing for Alex to practice being a parent with!

Alex has spent plenty of time wrapping the doll, changing the doll and dressing the doll.

Mum has hidden all the Christmas presents in the closet and each night before bed Alex likes to open the door and pull them out one by one.

Kara bought Alex a nice outfit the other week and Alex just discovered the clips open up easily with a slight pull which makes for a fun suit to hang out in.

Mum let Alex put one present under the tree, if it stays wrapped the others will probably go under soon too!

Alex and Mum spent almost all day together whilst Dad was out and about. Wraping Christmas presents, making buiscuits and playing around kept Alex busy.

Samantha has been eating and sleeping pretty well and has put on a good bit of weight.

For breakfast Mum had pancakes and Alex had some peanut butter and buscuits.

Alex and Samantha were up early this morning for the 5.30am swim. Samantha slept the whole time and Alex kept busy watching everyone swim. Back at home Alex had a playful day and for some reason chose the Redskin clothes from her wardrobe to wear for the day.

Alex is 100% back to her happy self, running , jumping and having a good old time. Hopefully there will be no more colds for a while!

Alex had a great sleep last night and a nice sleep in this morning. It is good to see her back to normal again, no sniffles and plenty of playing. Alex and Samantha went to the pool for the first time in three weeks today and Mum managed both of them whilst Dad swam. Alex took an afternoon nap and then later in the day found a loli pop in one of the draws.

Alex plays a little with Samantha and plays a lot with her toy doll. Changing diapers on the doll is Alex's latest past time.

Alex has a few Dvd's to listen too and likes to get comfortable to watch them.

Alex has finnally gotten over her sickness and took a nap during the day and pretty much was back to normal throwing balls, kicking balls and playing with her toy doll.

Baby Samantha has been eating and sleeping all day and is getting some good weight gain.

Alex has been very friendly towards Samantha and even got the chance to hold her a few times.

It has been a tough few days with Alex refusing to go to sleep, not eating much, a head cold and then all the crying she was supposed to do for the first year and a half of her life bundled into the last few days! Luckily the new baby can sleep through it all. Besides ice blocks, Mums diet coke was pretty much all Alex wanted to drink.

With no sleeping Alex was up for most of the night so it was watch some DVD's and read books to pass the time and Alex had some more diet coke with some Tylenol mixed in as a refreshment.

It was another tough day with Alex not feeling well. Just a short nap on the chair helped things a little.

Putting coins in the piggy bank was a good thing to help Alex take her mind off being sick.

Four or five ice blocks during the day was also a good remedy and treat to keep Alex's spirits up.

Yesterday was a tough day for Alex, it was the first time she has not felt good. Either some teeth or a cold and fever is the culprit and Alex wasn't feeling well all day.

Late in the afternoon Alex fell asleep for a short time watching a baby DVD.

Samantha has also been sniffling and it looks like she has her first head cold at 2 weeks old. Unlike Alex she slept for most of the day!

After Alex woke from her nap in the chair she had a touch of baby Tylenol medicine, 10minutes later her high temperature went down and then it was running around and kicking the ball for a few hours.

There haven't been many photo's to post lately and today there was only one. Alex has been in between some new teeth and a head cold and somehow Samantha now has a head cold with plenty of sniffles. Mum has plenty of heat on in the house to help things and Alex has some good PJ's to choose from to stay warm with. Hopefully some more photo's for tomorrow.

Saturday's are usually a sleep in but Alex was up early and that meant everyone joined her except Samantha who sleeps like a charm. After an abandoned trip to Target Alex took a 45 minute needed power nap in the chair.

The day then went by quickly with Alex listening to DVD's and running around and plenty of playing. At 6pm she fell asleep snoring in Dad's lap but at 6.15pm Alex woke up in Mum's arms on the trip to the bed. So it was back down stairs and Alex found more things to play with.

Alex has also been drooling a lot and a nice cold ice block always feels good on the teeth.

After a bath Alex still wasn't ready to go to sleep so there was more playing and the sun glasses were fun for a while.

Then Dad's wallet had some fun things to pull out. Finally around 10pm Alex fell asleep and then everyone was ready to join her after a long day.

Alex had a tough day yesterday with some new teeth casuing some bother and to make things worse she didn't take a nap all day. Mum and Dad played as many games as possible through the day and Alex learnt to say "ABC" after watching one of her videos over and over.

Finnally at 8pm Alex fell asleep, but before that she pretty much played with anything and everything to keep her busy.

Alex spent most of yesterday with a runny nose and not feeling so well. It looked like a cold was brewing but in the end it was another tooth coming through. Alex slept a lot and then had an early night to bed to sleep things off.

Kara bought Alex and Samantha a matching outfit and Alex , Mum and Samantha sat together for a while as Samantha drank some milk.

Alex spent a couple of hours in the morning with Meme whilst baby Samantha took a trip to see the Dr for a first visit with the Pediatrician DR Johnson. Everything went well and Samantha has gained half a pound since birth.

There was a few occasions when Alex took it easy and sat down and relaxed. Apart from that there was plenty of playing and by 7.00pm Alex was in bed sleeping.

Alex was in bed early last night and slept in quite well too. After the good sleep Alex was in a fun mood all day and spent plenty of time getting to know her baby sister.

Just before an afternoon nap Alex lay down in the new chair and watched a little tv.

Baby Samantha pretty much slept all day long in the crib and also on Mum's lap. Alex joined them from time to time and thought it was a good place to sit.

Mum dressed Alex in Redskin clothes again today to try and help the team win. It didn't work, but at least Alex was warm and comfortable. Meme did plenty of baking and Alex didn't mind licking the beaters clean.

Alex has been liking playing with Dad's computer these days and after a few things got deleted and a few keys pulled off it was time for Alex to get her own. It kept her busy for a few hours along with the new seat she now has.

Carolyn bought baby Samantha a small gift and Alex carried it around as a hand bag for a while along with her animals.

Today was another active day for Alex that included playing with Poppy, Meme, Mum and Dad and then saying a new word, "Meme". With all the playing Alex didn't take a nap today and Mum thinks she will sleep pretty good tonight. Samantha was the opposite sleeping for most of the day and most likely will be awake for most of the night. Last night Mum watched some football games until the early morning whilst taking care of Samantha, hopefully there will be some good shows on tonight.

It was 6pm and Alex was still refusing to go to sleep so Mum and Poppy read some books as she sleepily looked on.

Alex had another fun filled day with non stop activities. One of the first things Alex was doing was placing toilet paper on the seat. (Mum said it was worth a photo because Alex was copying what Mum does at the weymouth club.)

Alex had a good surprise of a few presents that Meme allowed to be opened before Christmas. Some books and some more toys.

The best part was opening the presents because it always takes a while to get the paper off.

Mum spent a good part of the day taking care of Samantha and Alex was always close by to take a peek.

The stairs made for a good place for Alex to sit and then laying seemed more comfortable until a little tumble put an end to that game.

Then the next game was Alex putting the bucket on her head and running around the room. Another game that didn't last long.

Baby Samantha was sleeping for most of the day today and she is also starting to eat well and gain some weight. This first photo is of Samantha sleeping.

Alex also spent some time with Poppy and for the first time allowed him to pick her up.

With Meme and Poppy visiting today Alex had plenty of variety of people to play with and kept herself entertained all day long.

Meme whipped up a great Thanksgiving spread of food and Alex sat at the table and joined in on the feast.

Alex had another busy day today playing with the new baby, running around and then reading books with Mum. Later in the afternoon Alex had a visit from Jonathan and then a little later one from the Pizzelli's who brought over a good weeks supply of food to help Mum get through the last few days and not have to worry about cooking.

It is thanks giving tomorrow and Alex got the fridge ready for her Poppy to come and visit.

It ended up being a very active day for Alex. Of course the new baby needs a lot of attention and Alex didn't mind giving her plenty of kisses through out the day.

It has been a while since Mum sat in the recliner chair with a baby, the TV remote and with her feet up. There could be plenty more to come over the next few months.

Samantha slept quite well for her first day at home and Alex kept a good eye on her to make sure everything was ok.

Alex played alot with Dad today as Mum took good care of Samantha. Alex's toys were played with a lot also during the day.

Dad was taking plenty of photo's of Samantha and as he held Alex he snapped this one of Alex for a change.

Alex likes to lift heavy things and then either run around with them or move them around the room. The dish detergent came in handy for that.

Samantha pretty much slept for most of the day and looking through a couple of old photo's of Alex she is very similar except for her dark hair and less weight.

Mum and Samantha came home from the hospital today and Alex took a good look at her sister.

Samantha has been sleeping for most of t he time and Mum was able to relax and also watch some football.

Before Samantha could leave the hospital Mum had to sign some papers and Alex made friends with the nurse as Mum signed.

It has been a couple of interesting nights with Mum getting ready for baby number two to arrive. This morning at about 1.00am it was time to go to the hospital, so a quick call to Jonathan to come over and look after Alex and it was off to the hospital. At 4.15am Samantha Ruth Noble was born weighing 6lbs 15oz and 20inches long. Alex got to see her new sister a few hours later and then came back home for a nap whilst Mum and Samantha rest up in the hospital. Hopefully there will be some more photo's later in the day.

Alex was up early this morning and whilst watching herself eating an ice block in a photo on the computer she imediately went to the freezer to point for one. Of course Dad gave in and then it was an ice block for breakfast! There weren't any more photo's from the day besides this one.

Alex and Dad spent most of the day reading and playing. It included only a short nap of 1hr for Alex today because we had a potential buyer coming to look at the place which ment instead of sleeping Alex helped Dad get the place in order. In the afternoon it was a quick trip to the Dr's for Mums scheduled visit and Alex spoke her first word besides Mum and Hey Dad! Some guy asked Alex a question and Alex answered "No!" Alex received planty of laughs and then didn't stop saying "No" all afternoon. Back at home Alex ran around and then crawled around under the table.

There was also plenty of running around the room too.

Alex had a quick dinner of finger pasta and then by 7 pm Alex was in bed asleep.

Alex was quite busy today going to both swims and then spending some extra time at the Weymouth Club with Dad whilst Mum was in a meeting. The only photo from the day was of Alex eating an ice block. Mum had to give it to Alex because Ice Block is one of the pictures on Alex's learning cards and instead of pointing to the card Alex points to the freezer when the word "Ice Block" has to be found on a card!

There was no blog last night because everyone was tired and also the Redskin game was on TV so it was watched in bed. Alex spent the day in her Redskin clothes and was referred to as a boy pretty much by everyone that didn't know her.

First thing this morning Alex danced to the potty DVD again and it played through and through all day long.

Later in the afternoon Alex was watching the DVD again and this time clapped along to the tune.

Dad had to get some baby things down from the attic and with the ladder out it was a good time to clean the fan that had collected some dust. Of course Alex wanted to help out.

Alex and Dad spent a good 30mins up and down the ladder and the fan looks as good as new now.

It's only a couple of weeks now until the arrival of the new baby and Alex helped with assembling the bassinet.

This is the same one that Alex slept in for her first few months. Alex tried it out for old times sake!

Alex slept in her Skeleton outfit last light which still glows well in the dark. This morning was plenty of running around and then some relaxing with Curious George.

It was another day that Alex didn't go outside so Mum had to keep her entertained for most of the day. Video's of Alex on the computer have been keeping her entertained for quite a few hours and besides running that was the day in a nut shell.

It was a busy day today, although Alex only went outside once and that was to see probably the worst kept house in MA that Mum and dad definitely won't buy! Besides that trip Alex pretty much played with Mum all day. There was only one photo and that was of Alex about to eat an ice cream after a dinner of rice and beans.

Alex had a busy day today going to both swims but enjoyed a couple of 2hr naps after each. Alex gets around pretty good lately and Mum liked this photo because it showed a big stride length as Alex brushed her teeth and walked around.

Friday night was take out and Alex pulled out a few menu's to see what looked good. Nothing stood out so it was some bread and cheese with Dad and Mum had the take out on her own.

It was a busy day today at home. There was cleaning to do for the showing of our home to a potential buyer later in the day. There was a trip to the Dr's because Mum is two weeks away from Baby number two. There was a trip to meet Kathleen from Powerbar. There was also plenty of playing for Alex which started with watching video's on the computer with a snack of milk and rice puffs.

Mum's Dr's visit took for ever so Alex and Dad had to find things to do in the car whilst waiting. Pressing the stop watch was a good game for a while. Other things were window's up and down, wippers, horn, any botton and Alex found it and luckily the car battery didn't run down with all the playing.

Alex was at both swims today and only had a couple of short naps after each. Alex is always kept busy at home either playing, running or working, she has no problem putting a new bag in the rubbish bin.

There was some water spilled on the floor so Alex dried it up with paper towel and foot power.

The dishwasher needed emptying and Alex's job was the knives and forks and spoons minus the knife's of course!

Alex has been practicing kneeling on her knees for a while now and for fun likes to move across the room like that!

Alex was up early for 5.30am swim, had a nap afterwards and then stayed home with Mum instead of going to the 11.00am swim. There was a little running around but Alex also played with a doll that Dad always hides because the head is as hard as heck and Alex alway's seemed to bang heads with it.

Pertunia is still one of Alex's favourites and pretty much goes everywhere that Alex goes.

Mum made zuccini pasta for dinner and Alex cleaned her plate pretty quick and washed down dinner with a swig of water and it wasn't long after that and Alex was in bed sleeping.

It was another day of running around and kicking the ball for Alex. Too cold to be outside so with a nice soft ball Alex can give it a good kick.

Alex and Mum hung out together for most of the day and Alex got Mum to put some juice in a drink bottle for after all the running around.

Alex also helped Dad assemble a new chest of drawers for the new baby's clothes. The screw driver is Alex's favourite tool.

Alex started the day off dancing to the potty song that pretty much played all day long.

Alex had a few good moves and then included plenty of running around the place.

It is starting to get cold and almost time for the fire place to be lit. To keep Alex safe we have to put up a small fence in front of it and Alex enjoyed using the screwdriver to help piece it together.

Once it was up Alex checked if all the screws were tight.

There was also plenty of reading today and Alex has a few favourite books that have to be read over and over.

Alex went to both swims today and followed each with a 2hr nap. That didn't leave much of the day left. Later in the afternoon Alex spent a good time looking at some video footage on the computer from when she was younger.

It has been a while since Alex has done some dancing and watching the old videos of her self dancing got her grooving again.

Alex said goodbye to Meme this morning and sat with her in the back of the car for the ride to the airport. It was a quick trip home and Alex took a nap instead of going to the 11.00am swim.

There was a present from Christine from the 11.00am swim. It was for Alex and also somthing for the new baby that is about 4 weeks away now.

Alex has gotten good at opening presents and had fun ripping the paper off to see what was inside.

Later in the day Alex loaded the toys in the jeep and drove around the room. Because the weather is getting cooler all of the playing is now in the basement.

Today was halloween and Alex, Mum and Meme took to the streets for some fun. First stop was at the Deane's house and Alex was a little unsure what to do. It didn't take long to figure it out and then Alex started colecting things for her pumkin bucket.

On the drive home Alex ate some of the chocolate and also looked in at what she had and then guarded it well.

When Meme comes to visit there is always an angel food cake made and Alex likes to be involved and help out with any cleaning!

Later in the afternoon Alex had a toasted cheese sandwich and made sure george got a taste.

There was plenty of playing in the basement today for Alex, mainly running and hiding. It made for an early night into bed as Alex was asleep before 8pm.

Alex had a fun day today playing with Meme and Mum in the afternoon. There was also a trip to the shops and some lunch at Panera Bread. After lunch Alex had some chocolate powerbar which always taste's good.

There haven't been many photo's lately to post. Yesterday Alex watched the potty DVD again for most of the day and had a good seat to watch it from.

After sitting in traffic for over an hour for the ride to pick Meme up from the airport Alex had a good 3hr nap. There was a trip to Walmart later in the afternoon and Alex picked out a pumpkin bowl for her first trick or treating on halloween Sunday night. To try it out Mum put some gold fisk biscuits in and Alex tried throwing them in the air and catching them with her mouth.(not sure where she learned that trick!)

Alex then threw a couple to Dad to see if he could get some in his mouth.

With the cooler weather the leaves have been falling off the trees and the deck needed a good sweep. It was quite warm out compared to the last few days and Alex enjoyed being outside for a change doing something constructive!
